Who and what this policy covers
Kalvora Technologies Inc. is an Alberta, Canada-based technology company and the maker of DemocracyOS. People may visit or contact Kalvora from anywhere in the world. This policy covers the public company website at kalvora.io and describes its practices in light of applicable privacy laws, including Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
It does not cover the DemocracyOS website or app, Kalvora Network, or the practices of organizations that use DemocracyOS. Those services and organizations have separate privacy responsibilities.
Information and how it is used
This is an information website. It has no account creation, on-page contact form, comments, newsletter sign-up, or other input fields. The site code does not implement advertising or profiling tools. Reading this website does not send visitor information to the DemocracyOS proposal assistant.
Email inquiries
If you choose to email Kalvora at support@kalvora.io, Kalvora may receive the sender name and email address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. Kalvora uses this information to review and reply to your inquiry. Kalvora’s email-service provider and your email provider may each process the communication to provide their services. Avoid including sensitive information unless it is needed for your inquiry.
Hosting, service providers, and retention
Vercel hosts this website. The hosting and security infrastructure may receive technical request information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot pages. This may include an IP address, requested page or file, request time, browser and device details, and referrer information.
Hosting-provider logs and other technical records are handled under Vercel’s current service configuration and privacy practices. This website’s code does not set a retention period for those records. Vercel’s published Data Processing Addendum describes its primary processing facilities as being in the United States and says it may also process information elsewhere in the world. For information about service-provider processing locations and practices, contact Kalvora’s privacy contact at support@kalvora.io. Vercel’s Privacy Notice provides further information about Vercel’s practices and supplements this notice; Kalvora remains responsible for its own privacy obligations.
External destinations
The links to DemocracyOS and its app leave this website. The destination may use accounts, sessions, or other data practices that are not part of this company site. Review the DemocracyOS Privacy Policy before using that service.
This policy describes the Kalvora Technologies Inc. website only. It is not a privacy notice for DemocracyOS, Kalvora Network, or an organization that uses DemocracyOS.
Privacy questions and requests
For privacy requests, concerns, and complaints, contact Kalvora’s privacy contact at support@kalvora.io. To make a written access or correction request, describe the information or concern and include enough detail for Kalvora to understand and respond. Do not send identity documents initially; Kalvora may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.
Under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, an access request is normally answered within 45 calendar days, subject to lawful extensions. Where Kalvora processes information based on your consent, you may ask to withdraw that consent, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions.
You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta about your rights or a complaint.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when the website or its data practices change. The date above shows when it was last updated.
